The minimalist design approach lends itself to a very user-friendly experience when navigation through the website and browsing the separate image galleries for each of three main portfolio sections--Renovations and Additions, Knight Classic Homes, and Historic Renovations.  When users dive deeper into individual projects under the abovementioned sections, they are greeted with a new interface for viewing additional images and learning more about the project's details.  The palette of subtle grays infused with bright green echoes Knight Architect's well established brand.

The Power to Grow with GoSystems 4.0

As previously mentioned, Knight Architect's portfolio is truly impressive, but with new projects being completed continuously that portfolio will continue to grow.  With Palm Tree's GoSystem powering the website, Catherine Knight and her staff can add new projects to their website with ease.  With custom designed apps for the Homepage Photos, Project Portfolio, and Individual Page Photos, they can create new portfolio entries, upload and crop images, and edit project descriptions all within the GoSystem without ever needing to look at a single line of code.  The GoSystem technology has turned what was once a dreaded task that could take weeks to complete with their previous website into a process that now only takes a couple of minutes.

Optimizing Knight Architects for Google

With Palm Tree's GoSystem technology at the helm, clean, dynamic, and relevant title tags, URL strings, and description tags are automatically produced for each page of the Knight Architect's website.  Catherine Knight and her staff also have the capability of tweaking these automatically generated SEO elements as they see fit right within the GoSystem.  Since this was a website re-design, an important step in the process was to create and implement a list of permenant 301 redirects to send visitors from the URLs of the old site to the corresponding page locations on the new site.  These protect Knight Architect against 404 errors from sites that link to pages on the previous website. 301 redirects also alert search engines that they can stop indexing the old URLs and update their results with the new ones.
